The Mercy College Student Counseling Center offers preventative and clinical services to Mercy College students. Our goal is to provide support and assistance so students can successfully engage in their college experience. Counselors provide psychological evaluation and brief treatment lasting one to eight sessions. Students in need of more intensive treatment are referred to local hospitals and clinics for long term psychotherapy and/or medication.

"Groove Phi Groove was founded on October 12, 1962 at Morgan State College (now known as Morgan State University) by a group of young men who wanted an alternative to what could be described as the traditional pseudo-fraternal organizations.Groove Phi Groove is a non-Greek organization whose purpose is to promote academic awareness and good ethical standards, to promote unity and fellowship among college men, to create intelligent and effective leadership, and to study and help alleviate the social and economic problems concerning boys and men in order to improve the stature of mankind.Groove Phi Groove members hold individuality, self-expression, and creativity in its members to be paramount, as well as a focus on issues related to the empowerment of communities. This organization offers great networking because graduate and undergraduate members work in a wide variety of career areas, including accounting, education, engineering, human resource services, local and state government, medicine, law, protective services, information technology, religion, real estate, food service, skilled crafts, music, professional sports, the armed services, and business.
